So, Oli and I once again decided to depart on a spontaneous trip. Only four days before the planned departure date did we get ourselves organized: plane tickets were purchased, train passes booked, e-mails sent out, etc. For our last-minute endeavor, we were surprisingly lucky; throughout the trip, everything went according to “plan” (quite loosely planned to say the least).
We are immensely grateful for the kind and hospitable hosts who had us during our wandering the reaches of Western Europe, and that on such short notice. Notably, we are in debt to our friends in Paris, Medemblik (north of Amsterdam) and Berlin, without whom our trip wouldn’t have been the success it was.
Throughout our two-week adventure, we tirelessly walked the streets of the illuminated city of Paris, the cosmopolitan center of Brussels, the charming medieval World Heritage Site of Bruges. Amsterdam, with it’s bright red lights and it’s hazy venues, as well as Berlin, with its variety of architecture and art, also revealed themselves (ever so lightly) to our eyes and our cameras.
Below you will find a select few of my favorite photos taken on this trip: some will include anecdotes, others simply descriptive titles, and yet others will speak for themselves. Since I had many to go through, most pictures will only have very slight edits, and even the ones which have been edited have only received minor colour treatments (I’ll leave heavy edits and fine art for another time).
Enjoy traveling with me through my photographs and remember to comment and/or contact me with any and all questions!

So, I just got back from my trip to the amazing MeliĆ” Las Dunas hotel in Cuba. We had some decent weather (at times rain, although mostly sunny with a bit of clouds) which gave us wonderful sunsets. Here are a few of my select photos from this trip. [Read more...]

Here are five different cityscape photos from my NYC trip. If we were to keep tabs and say they are my favourite, I should probably also include Downtown NYC in this list. [Read more...]
